The original owners of Iron Tap Station had a little dream. A dream of building a beer community in the middle of the burbs. So they found a spot near Washington Square Mall and started building that dream.
As time went on, that Community expanded not only in Beaverton but to the Brooklyn Neighborhood on the East side of Portland. Throughout those years they always made sure to keep the community first making sure that they shared their love of beer with everyone who walked through the door.
Sometimes growth is hard and growing pains occur. When that happens to a family it can be hard, but what can be more difficult is not letting it effect that community you have worked so hard to build.
So in 2019 two new partners joined the family and brought not only great beer knowledge but also experience in marketing and management to Iron Tap Station.
Things changed and change can be scary…but something even scarier was on the horizon…2020…
In 2020 the world stopped but that didn’t mean that Iron Tap Station did (well we did when the governor said so, but even then not really). So in 2020 Iron Tap Station became a one man show for the first time and we fought and our community fought with us.
We built, and our community built with us. We explored, and our community explored with us. Into NA beer that taste like beer, into Seltzers that bring flavor along with the fizz, into locally produced wines.
We will always move forward, we will always try to be that place you can feel at home when you are away from home, and we will always be a place for craft. Because we have 33 Taps, and there’s a lot more craft than that.
2023 is bringing major changes to Iron Tap Station! We're partnering with our friends at Creekside Brewing (www.creekside-brewing.com) to bring us our own house brand of beer!
On top of that, we're going to be working to grow and expand to take on the challenges of the post-pandemic world and explore the changing landscape of the craft beer world.
Stay tuned for what's to come!
